Description

Explore the Tulum archaeological site overlooking the Caribbean Sea with a guide, then continue to Akumal. There, you will enter the water for a snorkeling activity and look for sea turtles in their natural habitat. As with any wildlife encounter, sightings cannot be guaranteed.

The tour continues with a Mayan ceremony and a cenote visit, with time to swim. You will then enjoy an à-la-carte meal. Depending on where you are staying, the route may include a courtesy stop on Fifth Avenue in Playa del Carmen.

In Akumal, follow the guide’s instructions and keep your distance from sea turtles. Do not touch, chase or feed them. At Tulum and the cenote, use designated access points and take your litter with you.

Where does transportation begin?

Pickup is arranged from the hotel or meeting point. Guests staying in Tulum meet at Super Akí, at Av. Cobá and the Tulum–Cancún highway.

Is 9:00 AM my pickup time?

No. Pickup time depends on the accommodation and is confirmed later.

Is admission to Tulum included?

Archaeological admission is included. Taxes are paid separately: MXN 80 for Mexican visitors or MXN 265 for foreign visitors.

Is snorkeling equipment included?

Yes. The Akumal activity includes a mask, snorkel and life jacket. The cenote life jacket is not included.

Are sea turtle sightings guaranteed?

No. The snorkeling activity takes place in their natural habitat, so wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.

What does the meal include?

An à-la-carte meal at a restaurant. Drinks are not included.

What happens if the tour is suspended due to bad weather?

You can reschedule. If you cannot take the tour on another date, the amount paid will be refunded.
